Relocating.... looking for short term accom

Post by RicoCacciatore » Fri, 07 Aug 2015 8:58 pm

Hi all,

My girlfriend and I will be relocating to Singapore in September. We have now secured jobs, have signed contracts and will be looking at earning around S$8000 a month.

We are looking for a nice little one bedroom condo flat and have budgeted S$2000 for this, do you think this is reasonable?

We want to move into short term (1-2 month) accommodation, a one bed condo apartment while we look for something permenant. Again we will be looking at around a S$2500ish figure for this. If possible we would prefer not to share and have an entire flat to ourselves.

Can you guys recommend anywhere where we might find suitable Short Term Accommodation?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Rico

According to the law anything less than 6 months, you'll have to get a hotel or Serviced Apartment. Such means anyone offering you short term rent is doing so illegally.

$2500 might be too little.
