PEP application withdrawal

Post by ginger_bread » Mon, 03 Aug 2015 6:34 pm

I have applied for a PEP.

May I know if there would be any serious consequences if I withdraw my application when it is under review? Will it affect my existing EP?

Meanwhile if the application is approved and I do not issue the PEP, can I still withdraw my application and stay on my existing EP?

Other information: I do not intend to change jobs in Singapore. My employer is aware of my PEP application, and it is not a problem to them. They are currently sponsoring my EP as well as DPs. I want to withdraw my PEP application due to other personal reasons.

Thank you for your help.

don't think there's any issues with this. just don't activate your pep and stay on your ep. as far as consequences go, i doubt there are any official consequences. you can stay on your EP as you are today so long as your co keeps sponsoring you. not sure if the fact that you let your pep expire would impact a PR app down the road though - it might, though i'm no expert in this area... perhaps you have concerns about salary for PEP which could be warranted...

Hi May I check if you were able to withdraw your PEP application without any hassle?

I am about to apply for PEP, but I also am interviewing and in the process of securing an EP.

I am looking for some advise. If I receive the job offer, and apply for PEP simultaneously (I am on STVP right now) can I cancel PEP if it comes before the job offer?
So the question is - If IPA for PEP is approved, can I cancel it without getting PEP issued? or would it waste my 1 chance of PEP?

Thanks in advance.

You've been arrested? Law Society of Singapore can provide referrals.
You want an International School job? School website or http://www.ISS.edu
Your rugrat needs a School? Avoid for profit schools
You need Tax advice? Ask a CPA
You ran away without doing NS? Shame on you!
