Buy Kindle Paperwhite (2015) locally?
Buy Kindle Paperwhite (2015) locally?
Does anyone know any local shops selling the Kindle Paperwhite? I know there will be a markup, but I'd like it in the next few days before a trip. Lazada will take too long.

Looks pretty legit to me. The site is functional, not beautiful. All the info seems to be there and in order. I'd be tempted to try it using PayPal to give myself the added protection just in case, but If I wasn't a hardcore PayPal user, I'd probably use one of the other methods available.
Re: Buy Kindle Paperwhite (2015) locally?
I guess my expectations as to what a website should look like are just too high.
I was hoping more for a store front I could go pick it up from, as I'd like it by Tuesday. My fault i guess for being slow.

Re: Buy Kindle Paperwhite (2015) locally?
It looks pretty ok to me and actually for what I think it is (a one person company, perhaps a source of some extra $$$ for this person only) I think it is good and shows that it was well planned and with some focused effort.
There are for example many relevant details, like the one on possible education partners. The prices (AFAI can tell) seem pretty right for anything worth a risk on the seller side. Having Paypal as a payment option also add a lot to buying confidence.
Main problem with buying from sites like this in Singapore is that they often sell what they don't actually have and only after n-days and you contacting them (as they don't bother to inform you) you discover that sorry-lah, no stock, it will only arrive end of next week, would you be interested in buying something else instead? It can be a big and well know retailer or a small company like this one.

MayDay5,
Why don't you grow up and learn to read the threads instead of just typing one liners that make you look like an imbecile on the board.

If I were you I would avoid all kindle resellers in Singapore. They sold the kindle at insane marked up prices. I bought mine direct from Amazon through a package forwader like vpost. This guide will help you through the process of buying a kindle in singapore http://kindlesingapore.net/

I actually wanted the kindle right away, so the re-mailer wouldn't work. I decided against the local reseller due to the markup and lack of trust. I'd rather pay the markup at Simlim where i could at least touch it before paying. I'll just grab it during my next trip to the US.
