apartments near water & MRT???

Relocating in March to Singapore, working near Bugis Junction and want advice of a nice area for 30 ish (!) single female definately on the MRT line, close to restaurants/cafes and if I'm really, really lucky any type of water views. Have a generous package for accommodation, so cost isnt too much of an issue. Names of condos or even just areas would be greatly appreciated. Cheers.

Just when I thought Singapore 1 bedders are small with 300+ sq ft...Bangkok has even smaller units at 231 sq ft..almost the same of a typical hotel...
