Hi forumers,
My first time on this forum. Looking for some advice.
I'm thinking of migrating to Singapore and working towards citizenship. My details are as below:
Potential salary in Singapore: SGD 8k per month.
Race: Mixed Malay- Chinese
Nationality: Malaysian
Age: 33
Sorry if it sounds like I focused a lot on income and ethnicity. From what I"ve heard, it matters a lot to Singapore immigration.
(1) Do you think I'd have a good shot at Permanent Residency and eventually citizenship? From what I've read, it takes about only 6 months to secure permanent residency and about 2 years under PR to apply for citizenship. I understand that is the minimum duration to qualify, but is it really the case that one can get approved that fast (if at all)? Otherwise, what is the most likely duration?
(2) Are applications viewed more favourably if one held a significant amount of assets in Singapore? I.e. a few million SGD
Again, apologies in advance for posing questions like these, but I need to have a better gauge of my chances.
My heartfelt thanks in advance.
