Reliable real estate agents to recommend

Hi everyone - after living in Singapore for about 4+ years we feel that we want to commit to buying and owning a home here. It is a big investment for us and we want to get as much feedback as possible to make a learned decision.

We have prior experience of living in Sengkang and West Coast (we love it here in the west). My husband works near the NUS and I am at the CBD but we have transport so location near public transport is not such a big priority.

Anyone has any good reliable agents to recommend? If yes - please do share via PM, I would really appreciate it. Thanks in advance and I apologize if I am in violation of any rules as I am new to this

We're in the process of getting screwed over by a landlord (and her agent). Our agent has magically 'had a PC crash and lost all her records'. That's despite managing the check-out being a part of her job she has now 100% disengaged from. What a FU.

I've said it before, I'll say it again: It's the Wild West re: rental here. No one, even your paid-for agent gives a damn. And there is no simple recourse to arbitration or legal recourse.

it's a shame, as it is, I just feel like I've just seen (and still do) the dirtiest money-grabbing side of things 'here'. No way right now would I want to return here and rent.

If it were me, I wouldn't be investing in property here right now. Take a look at the number of vacant units + more coming online across the Island. And the economic slowdown in China, and the smaller numbers of foreigners coming to Sing (= slower growth), well...

But what do I know!

I suppose if I had enough money I would do it just to get out of dealing with Singapore landlords per JR8's experience!
