Hi all,
I'm moving to Singapore for 6mos on Aug 8 (SO EXCITED!!) and am just about to book my flight. I have a Work Holiday Pass, which is how I'll be living and working in SG. I know I can only stay in Singapore for 6mos with the WHP, but I was planning to try and do more traveling through Asia/Australia after 6mo is up, so basically I have no clue of my exact return date plans.
My question is: any advice on the best flight plan? I thought a one way ticket might be best, but apparently I need to show proof of return ticket to pick up my WHP card. And from what I've seen, the two one way flights would end up being much more expensive than the one round trip! The problem with a round trip ticket is obviously that I don't know my return date - or if I'd even be flying back to the USA from Singapore, or from somewhere else entirely. I read a few places that Singapore Airlines has some great flexible return ticket policy, but I can't find how to buy it or any official info.
Any advice would be MUCH appreciated!!

Re: Return flight help?
Pick up a cheap flight into Thailand as your exit flight.
Re: Return flight help?
That could definitely work, hadn't thought of that! Thanks for the input!
I do worry that two one way tix will add up and be more expensive than if I were able to figure out this flexible return date round trip option. Anyone know anything about that? Thank you!

Tiger Air and Jetstar can be real cheap... so much so that you can consider throwing them away.

Re: RE: Re: Return flight help?
I doubt ICA accepts a batam ferry ticket, as that shows a U turn plan..martincymru wrote:ferry batam 30$
