I stayed in a desolate place next to reading for work last November. I had to eat an English breakfast for two weeks. And the menu wouldn't change.
Eggs, sausages, beans tomatoes, fried mushrooms and toast.
Needless to say when I returned I was 4 kilos overweight.

What no black pudding? Couldn't eat one every day but definitely the best way to start the day after a heavy night

Baked beans are a must .... my no-no is anything potato based on a breakfast
I can also take or leave the tomatoes, unless its a nice grilled one

Americans esp in Texas eat biscuits and gravy once again quite delicious but seriously fattening

I can take or leave the beans and cooked tomatoes, and I don't mind a hash brown to help soak up the eggs and bean juice. For proper artery clogging goodness substitute a fried slice (bread) for the toast. Now to truly start the breakfast religious wars, brown sauce or ketchup?

Not French, just don't like baked beans. I replace them with extra black pudding.

Since this thread started what was once a dearth of good places now there are quite a few albeit more expensive and often more overdone than they need to be, but at least there are choices now.

You will be able to get it in little cubes in top end restaurants as I think black pudding goes will with one of the seafoods as a starter.
I am not sure there is anywhere that you can buy off the shelf, maybe one of the stand alone butchers in Holland V or Dempsey Hill.
