Sunscreen - Wear it daily?

Post by jinglebells » Fri, 21 Jan 2005 10:54 am

I've heard how harmful the suns uv rays are and how over time they can cause damage to the skin as well as premature aging. Alot of people say that putting on sunscreen should be a basic daily skincare regime. Whats your take? Also, if you are using sunscreen, any ones to recommend which won't cause clogged pores and pimples as my skin is acne prone. Dermologica has one for ultrasensitive skin. anyone using it? if so, where can i find it?

I use Shseido SPF 50 for the face daily. Excellent. I too suffer easily from blocked pores and most other sunblocks I've used just cause my skin to erupt. Worth the price.

not only do we need to apply sunblock due to strong sunlight in the open, our skin also needs extra protection from the normal artificial white fluorescent lightings in our office rooms.

i am saying this because a beauty image consultant once told me that such white fluorescent lights (which we are always under in our homes and offices) pose similar harmful effects on our skin as the normal sunlight.

therefore, it is always wise to apply a good non-clogging sunblock after your daily daytime/morning moisturizer, before you go out of your house.

to add some more...

after all that mentioned above, then you can follow with your makeup, if you use it at work or outside.

your makeup should be the last step!

~ cheers :D

Shiseido

Shiseido is available at most major shopping malls like Isetan, Takashimaya, CK Tangs. Can't quite remember the price perhaps $50 or more, but it goes a long way.

I think i'll go for this over the derma one since you guys have said its not greasy. One more very important thing though, is it suitable for oily/greasy skin and would it cause acne? :s im quite prone in that area
