Changing into coins

Where can i change notes into coins. like stack of coin that need to unwrap. Lets say i want 200 10 cents coin

But you cannot just waltz into the bank and tell 'em that. You have to place an order a day or two in advance so they can get them from the main/head office.

Banks do have regular and daily orders for clubs, from FnB establishments.

Btw there was a charge for coin bundles..

Yeah, but he's looking to exchange for coins, not exchange for folding currency. He's looking for coins also.

Well this seems pretty alien to me. Back home I'd expect to be able to walk into any branch of my bank and request (on the spot) even equiv. S$1k of coins with no charge. So, it must simply be different here. Perhaps it's linked to the apparent habit of 'grand-pa coin hoarding' that seems like maybe a local thing ?? Plus for what ever reason retail outlets seem very keen to take what ever pocket full of coins you have.

Dunno, is so much priced here at $x.75, x.95, x.99 - that retailers run out of change?... hmmm :???:
