I will come in Singapore in Feb, could I use my laptop's internal modem (56Kbit/sec)..???

Yes you can but you still need a local Internet Service Provider (ISP)

to those places that like are left behind or like just partly demolished, are the wifi in those places bad?
Since not many people pass by the area...

Such places wouldn't even have wifi... if you're referring to the strength of service, it really depends on how remote the place in question is.
