From George Yeo
An interesting article.

Really? A fall out with the ruling party? I am not much in touch with politics. I just happen to come across this article.

Sorry, too much of a sensitive topic to discuss in a public forum.

He mentioned about Taoism. Just saw this. I mean we can all live a life that is alive and enjoy each experience as it arises. Labelling, pre-judgements, those kind of things ...... just seem life-deadening.

Since when ? I know A ruling party future leader meets him quite frequently.JR8 wrote:And that is why he is under house arrest.
And he is taken care of (if you are referring to the gentleman, who I think you are referring to).

I have no idea what the second link was to as it's broken but the first link is a good enough read, that I'll probably buy the book. I reckon we'd really have to get rambunctious on here, considering I'm still around after my FB tirades. I reckon as long as I'm speaking truth, I've got nothing to worry about.
However, I think I understand JR8's possible concern which may or may not have anything at all to do with this forum.

Wait a moment... somebody he knows is under house arrest... I got it! JR8 is Amos Yee's Godfather!

There are certain people here who are deemed to be 'persona non grata'. An example might be Dr. Chee. Having a known association with him is probably not a plus to living and getting on here.
You can be sure this forum (and the others) is monitored by the state. Hence, like most SGns, I am happy to have no opinion on matters that do not concern me.

That subject matter is really taboo, unless you want your name to be on his blog ...Addadude wrote:...JR8 is ..

I now understand JR8's worries - Did JR8 do wee bit of counseling for the subject ??
