Congrats. But I was pretty sure it was a done thing.

We appreciate the update, however, as this may well help the next person who comes along in similar circumstances and questions. Won't guarantee them an IPA but will help alleviate some of the 'druthers'. ;-)

Dear all,

I have question, if I renew my employment pass (within same company), do I need to undergo medical test again?

Thanks

Only if your renewal requires you to do so. Some people are asked to undergo, some are exempted. Don't know what criteria that determines the exemption though. Scope of work?

I would imagine bus drivers, heavy equipment operators, oil and gas, any industry where safety is important. Although I guess these sorts of industries also self police. I know if you fly there are industry mandated requirements around medicals.

Yellow card? Class that as an EP? If you can renew I would imagine a medical is a requirement.

Aren't the yellow card holders considered community service staff ?

I am working in University as research assistant. Do I need to medcheck again for renewing my EP?

Thanks

No idea. Just go if MOM asks you. After all, the company pays for it. Don't worry about it.

Hi all,

I'm currently awaiting a decision on my employment pass and received some correspondence from MOM this morning. They requested I sign a piece of paper giving them permission to approach institutions and persons listed on my application to verify the information. I was just wondering whether this is a normal procedure, or whether it could be a case of them not being sure about something? I also thought it could have been that my prospective employer didn't include it in the original submission.

Thanks !

Sounds like something was missed out. It would be normal for MOM to follow up to verify the information you have furnished.

That is a normal piece of paper you need to sign. Nothing abnormal about it.

MOM wants to have the option of vetting you with your permission.

In almost any over the counter submissions it is required, not sure how it goes for online submissions.
