Annual Health Exams for Women

Post by NorrinRadd » Thu, 21 May 2015 8:55 pm

Can anyone suggest a good and reasonably-priced hospital or clinic for a health exam for a woman which includes blood panels, women's checks like mammograms, and the like?

This seems to be quite a business here in Singapore, with packages and wide variances in price. Not sure where to go for this.

Get your GP to refer you.

Raffles is actually very good (and I'm not kidding) but probably the priciest. A package like that would cost about SGD700 plus with GST.

For affordable but decent ones, you should try either KK or SGH. You may have to pay the foreigner price and deal with the long queues, bureaucracy and twice the timeframe, but the final cost is about SGD400 plus with GST for similar requirements.

Getting a GP to refer you may or may not benefit you. I do not know if GP referral is a pre-requisite for health insurance claim (you can actually claim from health insurance).

If your corporate coverage is from Aviva they require you to be referred from their panel GP's before they allow you to claim for the panel specialist. Both GP & Specialist clinics must be on their panel, if not i believe the claim amount is capped at a certain fixed amount.

Not sure about other insurer's coverage.

Thanks for these, am not on the forum much but this is still an open item for us, will post back when we have more info. Currently looking into SGH, they have many options, but nearer to $700 with all the tests we thought to do. A mammogram is about $250 to start, then there are the blood panels.

No Aviva coverage for spouse so that is out.

Besides the private or government hospitals, there are a few private GP clinics that also provide health screening for women. There is a private GP group which my wife recently went to for her health screening including women's health check - Dr Tan & partners which is quite popular among the expat community here in singapore. I am not too sure on the details of their health screening packages but it may be worth finding out more to see what they offer.

Why not opt for clinics in Clementi if you are nearby? I am actually in a search for women health screening, the one for pre-conception so yeah here https://singaporeobgynae.wordpress.com/ ... screening/ hope it’ll be helpful to you. O:) O:)

Seeing that NorrinRadd posted that in July of 2015, do you reckon they are still looking?
