Entry Level Construction Engineer
Entry Level Construction Engineer
I am looking to work in Singapore as a quantity surveyor, estimator, or project coordinator in the construction industry. Can anyone please provide any tips or references in my job search help?

Re: Entry Level Construction Engineer
If you are a fresher, you can, for all intents and purposes, forget it. Why should the Ministry of Manpower give an Employment pass to a foreigner without experience when they have graduates with no experience and similar qualifications of their own who are already familiar with local building codes, etc.
Don't want to be blunt, but this is currently the problem here and it will continue to be a problem for some time to come as the country reduces it's dependence on foreign talent and downsizes it economy (hopefully with a pickup in productivity). It's pretty grim here at the moment if you are already here on an Employment pass coming up for renewal.
Construction has scaled back as well as a result of the reductions in quotas for foreigners. Good Luck.

Thanks sundaymorningstaple. Makes sense. I just learnt of the working holiday programme, but turns out Canadians aren't eligible. Damn.
