There is 5% Indian version, it is green bottle/can. The red bottle/can is 8% aka KF strong.

I had the Indian version on Saturday night at Tandoori Corner on Boon Tat street. Its 8% so a bit too bitter for me. The UK version is only 4% or 5% and is a lot easier to drink.

8% ooh no, not unless it some Belgian monastic ale. 8% in a mainstream lager... well, my thinking it's more about simply drinking to get pi$$ed, than the quality of the product. Beer like that to me is not really bitter, just more 'thick'. More suited to a western winter than Asian refreshment.

In fact, most of the north Indian restaurants serve KingFisher. Including Rang Mahal I recall (haven't been to Shahi Maharani or Rang Mahal for a while)
