Hi Guys,
I am quite new to Singapore.

And i love this place. I am on DP. Just graduated after completing my Masters in Microbiology. Would like to know the career prospects in Singapore to kick start my career in Life Science :)

Is there any specialization course i can part take which are not expensive?

Summary: If you are thinking of clinical research associate role in Singapore, it is a thankless job. Shouldn't have problem in terms of job vacancy but it is like factory operator work, just with lab coat and pipette. Your company lives from one contract to another contract. Sudden huge order - hiring frenzy. No new order - retrench.

Science Park has a lot of such companies. You can start from there. You can also start by contacting recruiters specialising in Life Science segment.

Specialisation course is a tricky part. What you need to learn depends on what lab equipment your employer has. I wouldn't be worried about needing to learn as it is considered part of the hiring company's training upon hiring. It will be a disaster if you spend time and money learning say, how to use a chromatographer offered by say, Agilent, just to find out that your interviewing company doesn't even own an Agilent equipment.
