Hi all,
We have just married Nov 2014 last year in ROM Singapore. I would like to know about the chance of getting a PR for my wife and yet to be born baby..
These are some info:
Husband (Me): Indonesian Chinese
Status: Married in SG Nov 2014
Age: 31
Pass: PR Singapore
Education: Master in NTU
Job: Electronic Engineer basic close to 5k + bonus.
Wife: Indonesian Chinese
Status: Married in SG Nov 2014
Age: 26
Pass: LTVP
Education: University graduate from any local Indonesia University
Job: Unemployed
Every week I am travelling to Batam island to meet my wife, and my wife visits me for a week once a month.
My wife and I are expecting a baby in October this year. We have been seeing gynea in and planning to give birth here in Singapore, in hoping that having a birth certificate by local hospital will increase my chance of PR approval rate.
What do you think is my chance of success? should I just apply for my baby only or apply for both (wife and baby)?
I hope to see one of us has a PR so that I could bought a flat in 3 years time.

PR chance for spouse and baby
Re: RE: PR chance for spouse and baby
The general rule of thumb and observed experience says, 3 years of marriage improves the chances.hkartadi wrote:Hi all,

Why not get a LTVP in the meantime ?
Residing here is taken very positively by ICA, I believe..
Re: PR chance for spouse and baby
My wife is already LTVP, but I am hoping she or my soon-to-born baby will be PR. So that I can meet requirement to buy hdb in 3 years time.
Re: PR chance for spouse and baby
Forgot to add. I have been PR since March 2007. Have 1 PR Renewal before.

As said 3 years post marriage things get easier
But nothing stops you from trying now
Baby being born in Singapore, I am not convinced that makes much of a difference,
