Quoted Messages ....

Hello Moderator folks,

Maybe this has been mentioned somewhere but I dont recall seeing it....

I quoted a message yesterday in a reply , then the originator edited their post , which in turn edited the quoted message, thus rendering my witty aside useles. ](*,)

I thought the point of the quote was to keep a "copy" of the original should the poster edit or delete at a later date?

The OP's edit cannot edit your quoted message. Your post turned out that way because we edited and remove the OP's email address (if we are talking about the same thread).

OK , Thanks

My humourous word play on the misuse of the word revert though looks a bit odd now though. :D

Yeah, it just makes our life more difficult, we have to edit the original post and then everybody who quoted the "obvious" spammer needs to have that quote edited by us as well. Get's old real quick.
