Like it or not, this is how it goes with this specific gathering and people show up at different times. For most of us it's just an ordinary working day.
Pitty, Phad Thai is no longer an option.

Then why bother trying. Why not make it on a weekend?

[This is surprisingly Asian, for a bunch of expats, you know the timing 'as you please'. '1pm, but 4.30pm oso ok. Come and go, easy ah' hehe.... ] .... I can't imagine ever trying to book a collective table in a restaurant.
Anyway. Me and Lynx will be there to bag the table. Hopefully we get critical mass to keep the whole table.

I think the point is, most people don't really have a problem with the current arrangement including that some arrive at later hours or completely miss it. It's cyclic, and so far there have been always enough attendees right from the start to have the conversations going on.

Don't worry, if we don't get a table, we can always hang around at the bar for prinks (pre-drinks) until the staff moves us to a table/get enough persons for table.
Pretty easy.

p.s I keep reading the thread as the eagles are fisting for the next gathering...
To get there early is on time and showing up on time is late

For the record when I booked I could not get a table at 8pm. That's why ours is at 7.30pm; it was the closest slot before about 9.30pm.
[This also tells you if we roll in late they'll take our table].

Well, at least you have two things firmed up for the next one:
1. It will be two months later like always.
2. The forum's resident squirrel will be in charge.

3. And as you announced elsewhere that you currently living in a spacious walk-in apartment, squirrel may just consider organizing the next gathering right there.
