Blu Jaz sounds good to me. I like the area/street much better than BQ and Orchard.

BluJaz is good as well, as long as they have Tiger :D

What's that expression about trying to get a dozen people to agree on something?

I think most attendees might appreciate somewhere within staggering distance of the MRT, since most will be heading home whilst the MRT is still running. Put another way, I find trying to get a taxi after the end of MRT hours, from a place like Boat Quay a nightmare!

Just personally. I would rate quality and variety of beer over quantity. If there's some decent quality food/snack options too that's a bonus. I also don't really like the Quays, I very rarely go there these days, and last time the crowds etc rather reminded me why.

Brotzeit at 313 Orchard, or City Hall, would tick my boxes.

Right, back to the indecision!

p.s. Posting has been fine the last day+ it seems. But on this one post I got the 'SQL error' thing again...

I'm not going to make it on 22nd and 29th going to be out of Singapore both those dates :(
15th would have been nice, oh well I'll look forward to the next one.

Not that I expect to go, but if I do...

While I really like BluJaz I don't think it's a good choice for a large- or medium-sized group, and it gets pretty loud and hard to talk. And it gets hot there.

The City Hall Brotzeit is a good one as it is central, if someone goes early and secures a large table it could work, and it has a variety or MRT and bus stations nearby.

Is there anything at Chijmes these days?

Am also not a buyer of the CQ or BQ areas.

I'm flexible on timing, so would be happy to be prompt and 'stake the claim' on any reserved table.

Everybody just seems to be idling away. So, I'm going to take you up on your offer. Friday 22nd , 8'ish @ Brotzeit it is, and as you have volunteered, I'll let you do the honours of both reserving and getting there early enough to stake a claim to a table or two to seat 10~12? Can?

Sounds good. Looking forward to imbibing a few!

7:30 might be a little tight for some but I see no reason that we cannot do it. I've never been there so is the Bar & Restaurant separate combined/cojoined or one & the same? Sounded rather formal about the 80% being "seated" or being allocated a smaller table. Nevermind, Friday it is.
