Did you contact ICA for status update? Mine pending for almost 6 month. Plan to call up ICA end of the month to find out.

Keep hanging tough! One never can tell. We've seen and I'm sure you read the posts with waiting going to 18~21 months and then being approved and/or rejected. Wait is what it is. Wait. It's not an indication one way or the other. Just must have patience and a plan B if necessary.

Lay you two to one odds that the outcome will be "pending" with no other info available. Normally that is what everybody gets when contacting ICA. As has been said here many times. How long is a piece of string?

In fact a couple of my new colleagues were discussing about PR and they were wondering why it is estimated to take so long, like about a year or more.
I reminded them the earliest appointment date too is like more than 6 months away, and both went 'damn, Singapore sucks. We better go to Australia .. '

Actually it's not too long at all. what with a lot taking between 18 & 24 months. 12 months is a skate in the park, especially if successful.

While related, PR is not contingent on Medishield that I'm aware of.

dang, seems that it is now required to pay premiums
https://www.moh.gov.sg/content/moh_web/ ... anchorName
though in the website states it is required to enrol one month after attaining PR, which made me curious as for why marubozu did that during the completion of his IPA
