Multi Level Marketing - Tax Profile

Post by martincymru » Wed, 01 Apr 2015 9:08 am

My perception is a huge increase in agents/networkers/pyramid sellers in Singapore most of whom are outside the tax system. This with full knowledge of the various Multi Level companies, some of whom are multi nationals.

How does this fit with the policies of MOM, IRAS etc. ? Surely these companies are breaking the law big time?

You're talking about the likes of Amway, Herbalife, Nuskin etc?

Multi level, pyramid marketing schemes are flat out illegal in Singapore. Problem is, there are so many suckers looking for a quick buck, the authorities cannot keep up with the hucksters because of the people scrambling to give them their money.

Yes but there are many, many others.

My point is the govt. only have to raid the particular company and they would capture thousands of agents who are working in breach of their work permits/employment contracts.

Many poor people succumb to these outrageously expensive products.
