All,
I am about to move to Singapore very soon. EP and DPs, Apartment, School, Utilities .. all is ready and waiting for us. Got a lot of information from reading in the forum. Hopefully that now that the stress and busy level will decrease a bit, I will be able to take more active part in the forum.
Now to my question, the international Moving Company we are using kind of scaring us in regard to bringing Movies/Video Games. We dont have anything out of the ordinary, some bluerays of recent movies, some old movies and your typical games for PS/Xbox (actions, adventures, kids, sports, driving.. No GTA or something).
The "restrictions" I was displayed with is quite strict, no violence, foul language, nudity etc etc. Its kind of rare to find such movies today and sometimes even video games.
Should I just throw all the games/movies before the move? I have to say that I have seen the movies/games that you can find in Singapore and they are pretty much what I have.
A bit confused here.
Thanks
O.

Moving to Singapore - Bringing Video Games / BlyRays
Re: Moving to Singapore - Bringing Video Games / BlyRays

Re: Moving to Singapore - Bringing Video Games / BlyRays
When we moved to Singapore I was advised to make a list of all the titles. The freight forwarder said that this would avoid customs commandeering the entire collection to go through them one by one only sending them on several months later. They also advised not shipping any ripped off media only send the legal stuff.
I don't buy illegally copied media but my wife had a collection in Manila and well, you know not all of the DVD's were originals

Re: Moving to Singapore - Bringing Video Games / BlyRays
I have seen GTA V openly advertised and sold at stores here.
So on the video game front, you should be fine.
I have bought Game of Thrones series from Amazon with no problems. Other then Singpost saying they tried to delivery it when they did not.
