Advice |Tourist Visa

Post by anand1982 » Mon, 23 Mar 2015 3:49 am

I am planning to travel to Singapore with my family on tourist Visa

However while filling up the form I see following question and not able Judge if it should be answered as "YES" or "NO" in my scenario :

"Have you ever been refused entry into or deported from any country, including Singapore?"

I have been rejected for UK Tier-1 Visa twice, when I applied for it from my home country [India], my understanding on above question is

"if you have been prohibited entry @ immigration check or if you been deported from Singapore" only then you have to answer it as "YES"

can any one please advise ?

I am just trying to make sure that I am making education move this time and not taking Ignorant action.

Hi 'anand', and welcome to the forum.
You have not been 'refused entry', you have simply been denied a high-level UK employment pass. Those are very different things. I agree with your above interpretation, for example despite not qualifying for the employment visa, I take it that you would have qualified for a simple tourist visa. That being the case, the answer if "No".
