Just wanted to update, my PR application has been approved after nearly 16 months of waiting.
Thanks to all of your input.
Congrats, your long wait has paid off. But based on your initial post, I would say you are a bit lucky too and so treasure it :)

Congratulations, Herman_dd!. Looks like the ramp up in coins and title/responsibilities did the trick, although they still took their darn sweet time about doing so. Glad it came out positive. :-) And I appreciate you updating us.

BBCDoc wrote:Hi All,

Just wanted to say my family completed PR proceedings today, we were successful on our second attempt!

Details:
First attempt 2012 (2 years in SG)
Me: British born Chinese
Wife: Japanese
Both working for MNCs
Rejected with letter encouraging us to continue working on our current passes (Kiss of death)

Second attempt July 2014 (4 years in SG)
I had changed job
We had a daughter (albeit born in Japan in 2013)
PR approved Feb 2015

Shame we missed the cut to buy HDB...
Congrats! Care to share details on job change? Approximate % of salary change?

Hi there,

Thanks for the well wishes. I went from a grunt regional worker to a regional scientific director, with a corresponding increase in salary of >40%.

Likely some pros are the fact I am running some projects in hospitals now.

Cheers
Congrats! Do you mind sharing your salary range when applying for the second time?

So, if person A earns 300k per annum and person B earns 60k per annum and person B gets PR approved ..... so person A has to lower the salary?

I am confused but never mind !

We are looking at different scenarios. If C earns 40k got rejected and later got a raise to 60k then got approved then it means something no?

There is no such minimum salary requirement for the application. But the question is based on that person's pay rise, how will you find the minimum salary for PR Application? Even if there is one, you must be referring to the ICA website and not ask someone's salary here.

This logic and analysis will surely not work.

Spicing up your thoughts, in the meantime, by your logic, say, if C had also made a male baby in the mean time, so. for success, say, D must by nook or crook, get a 20k pay rise and make a male baby ? And then D will succeed in his PR ?

But, If D only managed a 5k pay rise and made a baby girl, D shouldn't bother I guess.

Happy thoughts.

Good night !
