Re: BBC Documentary
just watched it yesterday and the most disgusting thing i felt is that it is like part of their culture
Re: BBC Documentary
I certainly wouldn't consider culture of rape is part of India tradition, although the perpetual sexism, corrupted law enforcers and the inept legal system certainly are some of the primary factors that make sexual assault like an unofficial past time after cricket.retroman wrote:just watched it yesterday and the most disgusting thing i felt is that it is like part of their culture
Re: BBC Documentary
Add skewed gender selection at birth, tacit approval for ogling women - as if it's perfectly ok to do it - by young boys and old men, boys being treated as royalty from birth, vs girls in the family and in turn boys getting a sense of extreme privilege being imprinted ... something went wrong long time ago and it's not easy to fix it .. not now, not soon ..TMD wrote:I certainly wouldn't consider culture of rape is part of India tradition, although the perpetual sexism, corrupted law enforcers and the inept legal system certainly are some of the primary factors that make sexual assault like an unofficial past time after cricket.retroman wrote:just watched it yesterday and the most disgusting thing i felt is that it is like part of their culture
