Singapore Citizenship Application Outcome
Re: Singapore Citizenship Application Outcome
Any ways all the best for your citizensship application too
Re: Singapore Citizenship Application Outcome
Luck has nothing to do with it. I'm just being sensible. my worrying is not gonna help. And you shdn't either. ICA needs to decide if ur an asset to this country and they will do whatever they have to and take as long as they wish...If you think you took a big decision to change citizenship, imagine how big a decision this is for ICA too. They would like to be spot on.Farhat wrote:You are lucky that you are relaxed my citizenship application pending for one year and 10 months, don't know when I will be that lucku

Re: Singapore Citizenship Application Outcome
My little experience:
1. Race
2. Length of stay in SG
3. Salary / Industry
4. Age
5. Education
6. Family background (single/married, spouse, kids)
7. Housing
8. Others
I rank these from the most important to the least....well, they all contribute to the final outcome... good luck guys !

thx and i think the first two itself makes a big impact on the outcome itself.
Re: Singapore Citizenship Application Outcome
Just so you know, I met a guy last weekend in a party and he has just received rejection letter to his SC application after two years of waiting. May be I am beng cynical here but not sure optimism over realism will do any good in this specific subject matter!Farhat wrote:Farhat wrote:If your application is taking too long is it a good chance that's it will be accepted

Re: Singapore Citizenship Application Outcome
Can I check if anyone aware what kind of documentation need to prepare for the sponsored spouse (that are not apply for Singapore citizenship) as it is not clear on the ICA website?
Re: Singapore Citizenship Application Outcome
If you download the form, the required documents are all stated there.momosan wrote:Can I check if anyone aware what kind of documentation need to prepare for the sponsored spouse (that are not apply for Singapore citizenship) as it is not clear on the ICA website?
Includes spouse' documents as well
Re: RE: Re: Singapore Citizenship Application Outcome
I did read the form that you mentioned. However, I'm unsure if the list of documents e.g. birth certificate of spouse required or not.ecureilx wrote:If you download the form, the required documents are all stated there.momosan wrote:Can I check if anyone aware what kind of documentation need to prepare for the sponsored spouse (that are not apply for Singapore citizenship) as it is not clear on the ICA website?

Documents Requiredmomosan wrote:Can I check if anyone aware what kind of documentation need to prepare for the sponsored spouse (that are not apply for Singapore citizenship) as it is not clear on the ICA website?
For male/female applicants and spouse above 21 years old
(If married, spouse's documents are still required even if he/she is not applying)
•Completed Citizenship application form and Annex.
•One recent passport-sized colour photograph of applicant affixed on the completed citizenship application form. (Take photographs of spouse as well, just in case)
◦Photographs can be taken at the photo booths located at level 1 of ICA Building.
•Identity Card and Birth Certificate
•Marriage Certificate; Divorce Certificate; Separation Deed
•Passport or travel document
•Entry Permit Card/Re-entry permits
•Educational Certificates and Skill Certificates.
•A letter of employment from current employer stating occupation, date of employment, basic and gross salary per month.
•Latest 6 months payslips.
•Authorisation form for ICA to obtain and verify financial information with the Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore and Central Provident Fund Board. (However, if you do not wish to give consent for the former, you will need to furnish us with your Income tax notice of assessment for latest 3 years and CPF contribution history for latest 6 months, preceding the date of this application).
•Latest Computer Information on Business Profile from Accounting & Corporate Regulatory Authority (ACRA), latest balance sheet/profit and loss account if you are a sole proprietor/partner/Director of a company.
•Death Certificate of ex-spouse, proof of child/children’s custody from previous marriage, if applicable.
•Deed Poll or Religious Certificate for change of name (if any).
•Birth Certificate(s)/Passport or travel document of child/children.
•Entry Permit/Identity Card of child/children.
•Foreign Citizenship Certificate and Foreign Identity Card, if any
•National Service Certificate of Service, if any.
Please bring along all the original and a photocopy of these documents. You may also be required to furnish additional documents whenever necessary.
So from what I read, bring the same set of documents for your spouse that you will bring for your application. Take whatever you have. Better safe than sorry.

A more official statement, if you will:
"Mr Masagos said that educational qualifications are not the only determining factor for granting Singapore citizenship or permanent residency, He added that such applications are evaluated on a range of factors, including economic contributions, qualifications, age, family profile and length of stay in Singapore."

Re: Singapore Citizenship Application Outcome
Girl in my office just had her Application rejected.
China chinese -
She was however told to "come back in a couple of years" or words to that effect.
Whats the deal with giving up Chinese citizenship , is it easy to get back once given up to become a Singapore citizen?
