CPF / Housing withdrawals on PR cancellation

Post by PNGMK » Mon, 02 Mar 2015 11:01 am

I may lose my job - that's pretty much a given in the OnG industry.

I used a fair chunk of my CPF OA for a housing loan. When I leave Singapore I may decided to cancel my REP and withdraw my CPF but keep the property and mortgage (it's positively geared if I rent it out as I have high equity in in and a low mortgage). In this case do I have to repay CPF for the monies used (even though they are mine?). In a normal situation if I sell the property (and I still have CPF) I have to repay the CPF used with interest but I'm not sure what happens if I decided to withdraw my CPF prior to selling the property.
I not lawyer/teacher/CPA.
