I came upon this earlier, since I too need to dismantle our coffee machine.

Wow, what a clever idea to use the molten end of a BIC biro casing to mould to the head of a bolt that you want to remove.

I don't think it is going to work in majority of the cases when you may really need it. Even with factory fresh appliance, some of the screws could be already fixed tight enough for any plastic tool to stand no chance.
