A convocation of Eagles as some are winging away.
Re: A convocation of Eagles as some are winging away.
Dont know the bars there at all but thats fine with me. If I make the decision it will just be like 'pin the tail on the donkey'

Re: A convocation of Eagles as some are winging away.
As JR8 says not a place for this meeting I think but an interesting possibility for the futurePNGMK wrote:Edit to add: http://www.tripadvisor.com.sg/Restauran ... apore.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; - Up on a hill in Queenstown. Veeeery different, like going through a time warp to the 50s/60s. You can almost imagine sitting in a remote hill-side hill-station barracks in some colonial outpost. Best beer/cider fridge I ever seen in SG, relatively good pxs too considering the peculiarly niche/high-end beers they stock. - BUT sadly, not simple to get to...
Just suggesting it, not as an Eagle's venue, but as a place FTs here should go and experience once, given how completely different it is from the norm..
Colbar - it's a hangover from the British Army days... It's a lot of fun althought the food is a bit hit or miss.

Re: A convocation of Eagles as some are winging away.
It would be better for all if we could settle on one or two rotating (?) locations. One, as we have, at Orchard => 'No.5', and then one TBD at the quays...
Here is overview of bars by district:
http://www.hungrygowhere.com/dining-gui ... -21323101/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Drilling down from the above, for the Boat Quay area:
http://www.hungrygowhere.com/dining-gui ... -00323101/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
and Clarke/Robertson Quay:
http://www.hungrygowhere.com/dining-gui ... -6c313101/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
From the above?:
a) Penny Black at Boat Quay
or
b) Brewerkz at Clarke Quay (Riverside point)
I won't go into my perceived pros/cons of each... they should be pretty apparent anyway
p.s. The food at Colbar is really pretty basic, and then some. Like an Asianised version of English school food, c1960s. Lots of spam, and 'Spotted-dick' +custard!!?

Okay by me.

Brewerkz - but am perfectly happy with majority opinion.

As there are six confirmed attendees I am sure we will finish with a 50/50 split and still not ahve made a decision.JR8 wrote:Brewerkz - but am perfectly happy with majority opinion.
I think we are, as a group, very well suited to governing a country

My vote is actually neutral as I don't really care, so that will make it 3/2 split or better.

Then the decision will have been made. The first suggestion as you voted.

I like it, better than sitting on a fence all evening if the neutrals are winners. I don't think my hemorrhoids would stand itsundaymorningstaple wrote:Then the decision will have been made. The first suggestion as you voted.
