Premier League TV rights in Singapore

"The result was that the Premiership had become the most lucrative earner of overseas broadcast rights in the world. American football still makes a mint in America, but hardly anyone else wants to watch it. The right to screen Premier League games in tiny Singapore is worth more, he said, than all the cash America’s NFL generates from overseas broadcast sales put together."

That is amazing that the TV Companies here pay more for the TV rights in Singapore for the Premier League than all the money the NFL generates from all its overseas broadcasts put together!!!!

(the tv deal )It will be good for the premier league teams, even Hull City managed to outspend a combined Napoli + Inter + Lazio I think it was on players/wages.

who do you think will win the premier league this season Barnsley? Chelsea look ominous, but I'm thinking city/united could spring some nasty suprises.
Arsenal will find it tough to finish in the last 4 this season.

MU? Really?

Chelsea has this wrapped up. The exciting competition this year will be to see if Ars and MU can both make the top 4, or if Southampton will upset at least one of the two.

And as always, can Sunderland beat relegation? :D

Unless Chelsea implode I think they will win the league.

I have my fingers crossed that a different team , other than the usual suspects breaks into the top 4 , preferably finishing 3rd , as 4th just gets into the Qualifying , assuming the Premier League gets 4 teams from the league into the Champs League.

If by some miracle English teams win the Champions League and the Europe League then I think only 3 teams will qualify from the League.

Actually, it is those of you who pay the subscription fees that are funding this huge windfall.

Yeah, the subscription rates are quite ridiculous in Singapore. The suckers paying $59 a month just for BPL to Singtel and Starhub are the ones funding this.

chelsea dropped 2 over the weekend, still 5 points away, I hope they drop another 3 and then things will look more interesting.
United look patchy and have a bad defence but they have managed to cobble up a few points together.

I know pretty much everyone loves to hate Mourhino, but I love him. He adds a lot of character and flavor to the game. Reminds me of WWF/WWE wrestling from when I was a child. :)
