Be You. The world will adjust.
Re: Be You. The world will adjust.
It's true, the trick is you will never notice the adjustment unless what you do is big enough for the world to notice. It's like the Newton's Third Law.nanana wrote:http://sd.keepcalm-o-matic.co.uk/i/be-y ... adjust.png
how true is this?

From age, say, 0>puberty you are taught how to fit in
From puberty>17 you'd be happier if everyone else effed off and died
From 17>c50/+ you will do what ever your career requires to fit in and be successful
Beyond c50-60 you start becoming a liability to your employer, since odds on you don't really care hugely either way WTH happens at work.
From retirement or say 60, you don't give a damn what anyone else thinks (unless you're British, when one's mothers approval is still required for everything, and where everything apparently revolves around 'What will the (and her!) neighbours say!?', lol). Meanwhile you've arrived at that stage via what ever means, and if others don't like it then stuff 'em, since by that point you assuredly know best, better than anyone except you mother, and wife, of course.
