PR Application - Main applicant question

Hello everybody,

Here is my problem:

Me, my wife and our little daughter want to apply for PR. We have already booked the appointment and we are currently preparing the documentations.

Initially we were thinking that because my wife is earning more money than me to be the main application for the PR. After some research i have found that i will be liable to serve the army in Singapore as male PRs who are not the main PR applicants will not exempt from serving the army. Is this correct? It is very clear for what is happening with the main male application and 2nd generation male PR applicant but how about 1st generation male PR applicant?

Anyone with similar situation please share your experience i would really appreciate!
