Monthly transfers to Europe

Post by ckx2 » Mon, 19 Jan 2015 7:34 pm

Hi,

as I'm approaching Singapore within the next weeks, I'm still looking for a decent way to get money from Singapore to a German bank account on a monthly basis. As my family does not have a citibank account over there, I cannot use their services of transferring funds from one account to another.

I'm looking to transfer a monthly sum of 1200 SGD. Shall I just stick with the same bank where I do plan to open a bank account? What kind of fees may apply to this transfer? Are we talking about 10/50/100 SGD transfer fees?

I'd rather not use PayPal as I do not trust them (transfer getting reviewed and stuck etc)

Any input is appreciated.

Could you have your SG$ account here in SG, and the family have an ATM card that they can use in Germany for cash withdrawals?

Don't know, might be simpler than regular bank transfers.
