Say if you are so he can collect information and report it in one of the daily rags SMS.
Well that's my thoughts anyway, until it is proved otherwise.

Nah. He's an NUS graduate Procurement officer, currently in the Ministry of Home Affairs. Maybe he's working on his Master's thesis?

If you knew how many Journo's have posted on this site just to get soundbites for an article in the Daily Birdcage Liner, you would know why these kinds of opening gambits raises eyebrows and danders. They post then just let it run to see what come up that they can use, never coming back to interact in the thread. That's why the journalism in Singapore sucks. They don't do their own research, but try to get others to do it for them. Not cool, when not being up front.ChrisCH wrote:I love the open and friendly atmosphere on this forum.

Well, I read this forum for some time so I am aware of some of it. And to be honest is this not a SG thing, but the same everywhere: I was an expat in some European countries before moving here and the local forums have the exact same. What is different is the way people react. Instead of calling them out would the regulars have fun by making up some bizarre stories...
Anyway, back to the topic: I am Caucasian and work as a pencil sharpener in the ministry of finance.

That wouldn't work.ChrisCH wrote:Well, I read this forum for some time so I am aware of some of it. Because locals have no sense of irony and all sarcasm would be lost on them.

But it would improve a lot of locally written news articles...nakatago wrote: That wouldn't work.
