Extension of a non-renewable LTVP
Extension of a non-renewable LTVP
Dear all,
Was anyone able to extend the "non-renewable Long term visit pass"? Nowadays, it is really difficult for PR's parents to obtain the LTVP. Fortunately, my mother-in-law obtained the 6 month non-renewable LTVP at the first time of application.
She is here to take care of my son, who is also a SPR. The visa will expire on March 24, 2015. We are planed to send the baby to some childcare center. However, the chance to be enrolled by March is really low, because there is a long queue before us. Is it possible for us to apply a short extension of such LTVP? Alternatively, shall we apply another social visit pass for her? Any suggestions or comments will be greatly appreciated.
Will all of you a happy new year!
Xiaoli

My first question is how on earth did you manage to get PR? Which part of "Non-Extendable" did you not understand?xuxiaoli wrote:Dear all,

Sorry that I didn't make it clear. My husband, my son and I got PR together. I am asking about the LTVP for my mother-in-law.

Go back and reread my post. What part of Non-Extendable did you not understand?

Thanks anyway. I just asked whether we can apply another short extension, just like the one or two month extension after the 89 days (we were able to get the two-month extension for my father-in-law after staying for 89 days). If you think it is impossible, I will accept the fact anyway.

TS,
Do you understand the meaning of non-extendable?

Being Asian, I can assure you, it's not about breaking rules...ful babu wrote:I guess that's how an asian mind works, "rules are meant to be broken"therat wrote:TS,

...it's about finding loopholes or asking the guy in charge if he can make an exception.

It doesn't matter what color they are....brown, yellow, white, black, red, blue, purple, green, fuchsia or periwinkle. There are times where I just have my internal self screaming, "THIS IS WHY THEY DON'T LIKE US. THIS IS WHY YOU THINK THEY'RE BEING RACIST."
