Electric razor repair (Uncle shop)
Electric razor repair (Uncle shop)
This is a long shot but does anyone know of an independent shop that repairs electric razors? I'm looking for an hitachi part for an out of production model 8200 for a relative and there is no stock left online. There are a number of small local shops (one man shows) that have been around for years, usually in Jalan besar or around orchard in the older malls. Anyone happen to remember seeing one dealing with razors?

Re: Electric razor repair (Uncle shop)
Have you checked with the manufacturer?
If they no longer manufacture the specific spare-part, and it's not mass-market enough for there to be generic versions of the component also available then you might be out of luck.
--- What part is it? You never know, that might yield further suggestions.

If so, maybe you can source it cheaper from the US?
