Arthroscopy
Has anyone done shoulder arthoscopy in Singapore before? Around how much will it cost?
Re: Arthroscopy
these are for knees, but it shouldn't be any cheaper for shoulders:

exploratory arthroscopic procedure (1 site) at a private hospital will be in the 8 to 15k region depending on hospital and doctors chosen (~4:6).

Re: Arthroscopy
Thanks for your reply.
My grandmother has to do this surgery for her shoulder. She lives in Mongolia and they are not able to perform this surgery there.
I'm wondering where would be the best to do it. Perhaps, in Thailand or South Korea... because Singapore seems little bit expensive...

Re: Arthroscopy
it literally pays to shop around, but be aware that different countries have differing medical standards...
it's not as simple as just the one-off surgery you have to consider, but any complications, standard of care/comfort for patient, the care giver's expenses, etc, as well.
do not take this as my championing of singapore's medical services. far from it. like anywhere else in the world, you might find out one is more likely to get fleeced as a medical tourist, if you don't know the system and its doctor(s) well.
there is nothing stopping you from discussing your grandmother's medical situation and pricing with a doctor in singapore. some doctors MIGHT even talk to you over the phone. hospitalization fees are also something the doctor's staff will be familiar with.
good luck. i hope your gramma gets well soon.
