Postby pssn » Mon, 08 Dec 2014 7:17 am

Hi, anyone know where can I get those curtain that can make the room darken like in the night? Can I get it in Ikea?

Oh no, some narrow hearted person might suspect that I advertise for Ikea this time.

Yes you can get them in Ikea. I just bought a pair for my son's room last month from Ikea along with the curtain rods to fit (adjustable length).

Is 'narrow-hearted' actually a thing, like 'narrow-minded' is?

Or is this a contender for that Mangled Sayings thread.....

As SMS suggests IKEA will likely be the most economical solution:
Black-out curtains:

Black-out blinds:

Depending on your budget, space and DIY skills, you might also consider a black-out blind installed in front of the window, and then in the front of that some more aesthetically pleasing curtains.
