Figurines

Post by sundaymorningstaple » Sat, 06 Dec 2014 9:36 pm

Anybody know where I might find either German Shepherd or Alsatian dog figurines (not really a toy - for an adult. Between 6" ~12" in length. Material not important but not porcelain (costs). Can be ceramic, cast, resin but painted with reasonable detail. I can get from the US but it would cost me 4x the cost in shipping (I need it by next weekend). Any ideas who might carry pet figurines? Thanks! [-o<

Actually, a resin model type with the paint kit with it might do as well if the size is right.

Perhaps you can try calling 'Astoria' it's a shop selling artificial flowers and they also sell many types of ornaments and figurines, one of the outlets to try is perhaps Thomson Plaza.

Ouch! That's a bus ride as I'm not about to drive down there. But I'll give it a shot. Who knows, I'm lucky, as it's a single bus from my house, albeit a slow coach, but if I get down with the house early enough today I might give it a try. Thanks!

Lim's Arts and Living, they carry similar stuff. Various locations, I.e. Vivo City, Holland Village.

Thanks all for the suggestions. Went to Thompson Plaza first (logical 1st choice as not downtown and on my side of the island) as recommended by Joop and while the figurine was awee bit bigger than what I was looking for and so was the price (but still tolerable considering the size), it was just what the doctor ordered. Done deed.

Thanks Joop!

You might want to check out the Japanese figurine shops in Funan. The Japanese are really good in this kind of stuff. It is where I shop for my insect collections. Not sure about dogs though. My figurines cost from $2 (for 2-inch ones) and it is cheaper if you buy the whole collection. If they don't have it, some can even place an order for you.

One of the shops I am familiar with is La Tenda.
