Bringing steaks back from UK

Post by CaptainBullus » Fri, 21 Nov 2014 9:36 pm

Does anyone know if this is OK? I've checked previous posts in the forum and also the AVA website which states you can bring 5kg of meat from Oz, NZ, Argentina and Uruguay but doesn't mention the UK. Does this mean it's a no-no from every other country or do I just have to declare it? Thanks

It should be ok - I've done it a fair bit and never been stopped. If it's an amount likely for immediate personal consumption I don't think it's a problem. Vaccuum packaging or styrofoam boxes or even wrapped in newspaper has worked for me.
I not lawyer/teacher/CPA.
