Post by Asgard » Fri, 21 Nov 2014 9:16 am

Hi everyone, new to the island here. I was looking for good mediterranean/greek/lebanese food restaurants. Do you happen to know if there are mediterranean grocery stores as well ?

A Google search will point you to a list of 10 restaurants on citynomads.com:

However, this article is a year old.

There's also al Kasr in Holland Village, which seemed quite nice, though it doesn't appear on the list.

Urban Bites on Telok Ayer St. Not named in that way but it's a great Lebanese place. Not open sunday.

I haven't found any that's worth recommending, have you tried Arab st. They have a few ones around there.
But as usual they're expensive
To get there early is on time and showing up on time is late

Thanks everyone, sounds pretty good. I tried Artichoke yesterday for brunch, quite nice actually. Bit overpriced but still good food.

I heard that the previous owner of Kasr sold it to non-Lebanese and opened Urban Bites. Need to try that then, seems that its quite good as well.

It may sound alittle chiche, but there are several good restuarants along Arab st.
You can grab a shisha while you're there

We went to Le Rida (Grille, Steak & Mezze Bar) at 903 Bukit Timah Road last month thrice and tried their Lebanese food. The food really gave me the original taste.
Most of the Lebanese restaurant I tried in Singapore but never found the taste like Le Rida. We tried Mezze Platter, falafel, Sanbuosik, Cheese roll, Kebabs, Mix grilled and home made Lebanese Ice cream, Baklava etc/ I should say its worth to try out.
They also serve French food which is cheaper and have lots of varieties.
