The problem is you missed the boat.... I bought at a fantastic price and the potential CG would pay for rent for 20 years here.
I not lawyer/teacher/CPA.

If your rental contract is coming up for renewal in the next year you should be in a good position.

If you are renting out a place get ready for prospective tennants to do some haggling

I believe its for your own stay, so there isn't much to get concerned about. Your rental savings should offset the interest outgo and fees. But dont expect to make any profit, atleast until next 2 years but over the longer term you will surely win.

Thinking about doing a 10years here and unless someone offer us a great package somewhere else. The house we are keeping for 10years. Wonder if the market would have recovered by then

With the dirty money drying up in China , where are the buyers going to come from?

It would seem that most Govt's in the countries that usually buy the houses there are clamping down.

Prices seem to have come off a lot. According the article, some cases 50% down. May be they are betting that in couple of years the gahmen will reverse some of the cooling measures, especially the ABSD on foreigners. The main reason for the fall in luxury property is because the foreign buyers have moved away to markets like London
