The ladies claimed they (must have) left $100 at this very ATM some short time ago. The guy responded, he didn't find anything and then it happened the incredible. They asked this guy to show his bag and pockets and he showed them without any fuss.
The guy should have stood his ground and told the ladies to call the police !! And I am not going to let anybody see what I have in my bag !!

After all, all ATMs have enough CCTVs
That's exactly what I would do and on top of this I would warn them of possible legal action against them if they were not able to prove their point.
This stereotyping really bugs me, that's why I mentioned the place (it's like an expat oriented mall with very limited outlets). This Indian guy was not a low pay WP holder * or anything even close, and yet he was conditioned to satisfy these ladies unacceptable request. My wife later regretted she did not interfere.

*) I am not suggesting low pay = criminally inclined, just more easily to be indimidated

If they didn't take my word for it I'd tell them to f-off.

Maybe he got psyched or he worked in other countries where such stuff are normal !!!

I have once told a local friend of mine to shut up, when he started talking in a condescending way to some Indian workers, who on their off day were after a Tiger Tower !

And the fellows were like 'yes sir ... no sir .. ' until I couldn't take it ..
