SG Advice Needed Please

Post by SGBound » Fri, 07 Nov 2014 6:38 pm

Hi,

I am moving my family to SG from HK next month, I am yet to find somewhere to live, any tips on cluster housing on the West Side or nice condo's in Holland Village that don't feel like there are a thousand people living in your building? I am a little fed up of big tower blocks coming from Hong Kong.

One 4 bedroom cluster house I have seen is 7000 SGD a month, does that sound like a con? Any tips on going rates of renting a place at the moment?

Thanks!

Wrong place. May be you should relocate to Australia.

Ignore WD-40. He's visited Australia once, has a cousin who visited Hong Kong once, and fancies himself an expert but has no clue what he's talking about. I am skeptical if he even ever been west of Mustafa, most likely never leaves Tampines or CBP.

Singapore does have a lot of tower blocks similar to Hong Kong, but the overall physical density is much lower.

For your actual question no that does not sound like a con. Without knowing the actual unit or the actual location it is impossible to say, but the price ranges on units like that would be very wide. If the unit is actually in HV that price sounds pretty good.

Thanks for your point of view, good to know. Since my post I've actually found somewhere we really like and are happy with the price - so all good there.
