How to recover contacts from iPhone?

Hope you had a nice day. My father have lost his contacts from iPhone 4s, does it possible to recover them? How to do it?

If he signed into an ICloud account with it, go to http://www.iCloud.com.

If you backed it up to his iTunes on a computer, then try to restore it.
