as long as you don't plan to ride on the road, barge into pedestrians, or demand right of way, you should be gooddarrencyx wrote:Hey guys, thinking of getting an electric scooter to commute from my home to workplace.. any opinion on this?
the number of accidents involving e-scooters are increasing, and it is a matter of time before there is a clamp down on the 'pimped' up E-Scooters
PS, today morning two funny incidents.
At a traffic light a lady came dashing in a normal kick scooter and forgot how to brake. Straight into the bit of greenery at the end, collected herself, gave a silly blush and off she went
And a little later, a guy on a Uni-Wheel, nearly came to cropper when a passenger alighting from a bus dashed across his path !!

Anyone?
i'm now considering between the lightweight 10.7kg model or the established brand Myway.

Why bother to do something like that. He's going to give us his recommendations for the shop he works for and tell us why that bike is the better choice. tic...toc...tic....toc.... I'm just waitin'!

Re: Opinion on E-Scooters in Singapore
If you’re able to commute from your home to workplace, i suppose the distance isn’t that far. Personally, I would discourage the usage of e-scooter, especially since there’s been countless number of accidents involving e-scooter riders, and what’s worse is that some of them are fatal accidents. Speaking of which, just this morning, there’s one accident involving a double decker bus and an e-scooter. Here you go!

The only placed there are mixed reactions is from the PMD riders. Everybody else is glad to see the last of them on the "foot"paths.
