Yup. For strange reasons, I kept finding "Notify me on private messages" before I asked here so it was a little frustrating, until it turned out it was under a different tab anyway...
i thought i was the only one getting those emails... and had some trouble finding out how to turn them off until i checked in here.
like lynx i couldn't find it without some difficulty.
click on your user name on the top right, then User Control Panel, then Board Preferences (horizontal tab), then Edit Posting Defaults (vertical tab). it's the last option (out of 4), turn it off - remember to Submit.
remember to delete your "subscribed topics" or you'll still keep getting notified. User control panel -> Overview -> Manage subscriptions.
finally!
This!
I was about crying last night from all the spam emails from this site. I thought I had looked everywhere.
The option to unsubscribe from emails on every posting is not in the "Manage Subscriptions" tab.
The option to unsubscribe from email on every posting is not with all the other "Get email from Admins/users etc" settings.
The option to unsubscribe from emails on every posting is bizarrely in "Edit Posting Defaults" because of course receiving trillions of spam emails is a setting just like BB Code or smilies. Who would have thought that Posting Defaults means "posts by anyone else will spam you"?
Odd.

Another observation:
I look at the 'New posts' link, and open up any topics of interest into separate tabs. I then go through them to read and perhaps reply.
Out of perhaps six such topics this morning, I've posted three replies. There's a new feature, roughly, 'While you were writing, another poster wrote a message to the topic, would you like to see that message now?' This comes up after you have hit the submit button. And if you're skipping from tab to tab to read/reply you might already be off that page before this 'Did not post' warning comes up.
I'm not sure how helpful it is. If someone else has made a comment, that's fine, maybe I'll see it later. I'm unlikely to write a reply in an active topic, and keep coming back and editing and adding replies to others based on up to the minute new comments.

I have just added a new "SIMILAR TOPICS" under each topic.
Hope this will help users find similar posts and answers.

Removed the Word Replacement of SC to Singapore Citizenship.
Someone added the Word Replacement of SC which wouldn't work.

Can you also check what gets replaced into ", Male"? Happens quite often for me* to notice but not often enough for everyone to do so as well.
* I somehow sense patterns a lot.

Another observation/question:
It's great that people can post from their mobiles, but is there any value in such posts coming with a tagline such as 'Sent from my GT-S7580 using Tapatalk'.
It seems to take up space, though of course not much; but I'm at a loss as to what if any value it seeks to add.

That is the default signature of the Tapatalk App.
There is an option within the app to change their signature. It is similar like the web user's signature.

I can't seem to find any settings for forum display but it's only showing up left 2/3 of my screen. It doesn't seem to zoom up and down well like vBulletin or other forum software.
