Universities / Colleges in Singapore

Post by EntreTechTeach » Thu, 30 Oct 2014 2:36 pm

Hi Expat Forum -

I am an advanced technology person from America (M.I.T. level expert / practicing engineer in many
of the hottest fields) and considering relocating to Singapore by way of a technology lecturer / senior
lecturer sort of a position. What are the colleges and universities in the area that I should investigate?

I would like to participate in the entrepreneur community in Singapore as well so in theory a part
time lecturer position would be ideal. Is this frowned upon or encouraged?

Can anyone inform me of any resources for such?

unless you are here to help grow the community... i think you may be disappointed when you realize how much constraints are placed upon you by your hiring institution...

the 3 established universities have their own entrepreneurship arm:

http://www.ntuventures.com/

http://enterprise.nus.edu.sg/

A STAR owns exploit tech (business incubation):

if you go at it alone...

many of the VCs active in singapore are well connected and established - you will be able to get more info through them via people you know.
